"The prediction where I would be happy to be wrong..." General Elections 2024.

With the General Elections 2024 reaching its final phases, its a guess that no one would get a prize for as to who is gonna come out of this as victorious. Irony dies a thousand deaths every time India is being referred to as the "World's largest Democracy" in the recent times. The oppression that has come down from the ruling side, aiding the fascist ideologies and agenda, have gotten so strong due to the imprints they have been slowly making over the past 10 years in such a way, that the right wing minions are now asking "Why not a dictatorship", "We don't need an election", "We don't want food, water or roads but only Mandir" to even much worse thoughts that are not only endangering the democratic nature of the country, but also that of a safety veil India used to provide for all.

With the controversies surrounding the Ram Mandir construction and its historical facts, the mainstream debates are no longer about whether there was a temple prior to a mosque. The debates have carried away into whether there exists another site where a mosque can be demolished and a temple be built in its place. The debates on the past atrocities of the past have ceased to be spoken of anymore due to the future atrocities that are subtly molded in threats and has struck fear into the minds of every citizen of this country who believes in an India that is harmonious, secular and above all, not a joke before the world.

As we are heading into the worst conditions on almost every other global index out there - hunger, democracy, press freedom etc., those don't seem to bother the right wing fanatics anymore. Beware of the fact that it is not because of they are unaware of the trembling condition that our nation is in right now, it is simply because of the fact that they just, don't, care anymore. A common kaaryakarta of the RSS still has to feed himself and his family amidst these inflation that has skyrocketed in the past 10 years. Lack of education isn't the issue. Lack of the 'right wants' has always been the issue. In Modi's constituency Varanasi, the deteriorating condition of the commoners have been well documented over a million times and of course, it is not by the mainstream media because their spines are pledged to the supreme leader since a long time. However, in all those reports that were made by independent media, the 'savarnas' living in slums initially complaint about the lack of basic facilities for their kin, but somehow, the blame for it goes towards the avarnas and not the government they chose to be in power. "Aayega toh Modi hi. Aur humko vo sab kuch dega jo hamare paas aaj nahi he" says one of those who live in the slums of Varanasi. When asked the question of what has Modi done for the past 10 years, his immediate blame was made towards the congress who hasn't been in power for a decade and towards the avarnas who aren't even allowed in the slums that they live in. The mentality of the people have been obstructed in growth by the implant of an "us versus them" mentality so strong, that there will always be a "them" even when unsure of who they are.

"But did you condemn Hamas?" "Where were your eyes on October 7th" "Why did you never speak for the Kashmiri Pandits" and many other questions raised by the right wing contagions have now made Genocide a competition event. From their perspective, you can speak for none, if you haven't spoken for their one. Whataboutery has become such a strong game for them, that they will even indulge in a genocide if you condemn a genocide. The questions they raise will not be against the government who has been in power for over 10 years and not doing enough for the victims of the exodus, but it will instead be an agitation against those who are condemning an ongoing ethnic cleansing done by Israel, by harassing them as to why didn't you condemn what happened in 1990.

Forget about the elections commissions being bought. Forget about the atrocities that has happened in the past 10 years. Forget about the economy. The unemployment. The joke that we have become. None of that matters to the large number of voters of the Hindi heartland of India, the area that constitutes the most number of voters. The agitation in which a huge portion of the people fell into against those that condemned the brutality that happened in Rafa, the beheading of an infant, is highly dangerous as to where we are headed as a country. Perhaps, India might be one of the first ever countries that will have a large number of people welcoming a dictatorship. Therefore, a change or rather a ray of hope is not something I foresee in this elections. The seat share of the NDA might probably come down but it won't be enough to have a change in the ruling, or I rather say, in the functionality of this once great nation. We have gone so down low that the light above is slowly starting to wave off from our eyesight.

Predictions are a funny thing. They are made for gambles, to be the smarter one in the room, to take pride in one's knowledge and sometimes to even play God. For which I seek none but only a hope, that I am wrong.

The fastest growing economy & The GDP : A gaslighted story?

For decades, the various governments of both the state and centre have been at war against the other pointing out the GDP growth being less or more during the respective regimes according to the whims and needs of that particular political agenda. The states whether in opposition or not, claim to be a huge contributor towards the GDP and the center seems to glorify itself as the 'Messiah' of the country's economy by making it the fastest growing economy in the world. The honorable finance minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman in her parliament speeches have spectacularly mentioned about the country's growing GDP rates and have praised the Prime Minister and his 'vision' to be not one, but many steps ahead of what the UPA could have ever achieved. In a reply to the same, the former finance minister Mr. P. Chidambaram countered these claims by stating that the growth was in fact higher during the UPA rule. Thus began constant to and fro debates on which regime has brou

All I see are men - International Women's day

Perhaps the starting should be harsh, hard and strong. The biggest curse for women's rights today aren't the butt hurt patriarchal chauvinists, but those who are capitalising on it. For as long as women's rights aren't fully achieved, there shall always be millions of organisations that pretend to fight for it to prey on the fame such a movement provides. What people often don't look upon or wouldn't even try to understand the simple difference between a revolution and a movement. The latter is only a beginning for the former and to achieve the deprived rights, what's required is a revolution. Unfortunately the million pretentious activist organisations seem to engage in the temporary movements rather than even try to ignite a spark for a revolution. 2023 Women's day was no different and the same has simply been a movement rather than spark a revolution. The state sponsored women's day programs had a colorful taste while mixed with Holi. What the gov
